Ante todo decir que FUNCIONA.<\/div>\n
Todas las pruebas que nosotros hemos hecho la hemos efectuado con UBUNTU<\/a>, y en posteriores Posts, comentaremos instalaci\u00f3n y ejemplo pr\u00e1ctico. Desde la versi\u00f3n UBUNTU 8.04 existe una instalaci\u00f3n de UBUNTU directa con LTSP.<\/div>\n
La verdad, podemos decir que este proyecto es bastante interesante, si lo centramos en plataformas para la educaci\u00f3n o bien peque\u00f1as empresas con aplicaciones web, que imagino que es lo menos, aunque ser\u00eda factible, ya que adem\u00e1s de tener centralizados todos los trabajos, no se depende para nada de la m\u00e1quina local.<\/div>\n
Lo que m\u00e1s gracia me hizo de LTSP, fuen que directamente pudieras arrancar con un ordenador sin disco duro, y simplemente habilitando el PXE de su LAN, automaticamente negocia con el servidor UBUNTU con LTSP y por DHCP, le da IP, y\u00a0comienza a arrancar UBUNTU en el equipo local en modo terminal. Es decir, no necesitas m\u00e1s que Thin Stations, o bien\u00a0 pueden ser viejos equipos.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
PXE<\/a><\/strong> \u00abAbreviatura de Pre-Boot Execution Environment (Entorno de ejecuci\u00f3n previo al arranque). PXE es uno de los componentes de la especificaci\u00f3n WfM de Intel. Permite a una estaci\u00f3n de trabajo arrancar desde un servidor en una red antes de arrancar el sistema operativo del disco duro local. Una estaci\u00f3n de trabajo con PXE habilitado conecta su tarjeta de red a la LAN con un \u2018jumper\u2019 o bien por especificaciones de BIOS el cual la mantiene conectada a la red incluso si est\u00e1 apagada.\u00bb<\/div>\n
